Our training grounds are situated at Osberton Estate, near Worksop, Nottinghamshire, by kind permission of the President, G.M.T. Foljambe.  
We are pleased to welcome new members to the Club,
however, membership is open to persons aged 17 years and over.

 CAMP SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS

HELP REQUIRED

Help required with a 16.2hh Chestnut TB mare who is 5 years of age. She has been coming on nicely and came 4th at the dressage competition at the racing college in November 2007.   Unfortunately due to rider injury she does not have a jockey a the moment and because of her age and the progress she has made I do not want her to have the time off so I am trying to find someone to ride her.  Is anybody in the club interested in riding her whilst I am currently not able to?  She is a nice mare but not a novice ride.  She lives at home with me near Laughton.   Thank you very much and if interested please contact Charlotte Hinchliffe on  01909 562877 or 07909 526149.
 

A NUMBER OF MEMBERS WERE VERY UNFORTUNATE IN 2006 WHEN REPRESENTING THE CLUB IN THE VARIOUS AREA 16 TEAMS, AND WERE SENT HOME BECAUSE THEIR HORSE'S VACCINATION PASSPORTS WERE NOT CORRECT.   FULL DETAILS OF THE CORRECT TIME FRAMES HAS BEEN ON THIS WEB SITE SINCE 2005, BUT SADLY SOME MEMBERS FAILED TO READ THAT PAGE!!   BRITISH RIDING CLUBS WILL CHECK ALL VACCINATIONS SINCE THE HORSE WAS FIRST VACCINATED, SO IF IT IS INACCURATE 8 YEARS AGO, AS IN ONE CASE, THEN THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOUR HORSE TO COMPETE.  IF YOU ARE NOT SURE AND WANT HELP, PLEASE PHOTOCOPY YOUR PASSPORT AND SEND IT THROUGH TO ME AS AN ATTACHMENT VIA EMAIL I WILL WILLING CHECK IT FOR YOU AND ADVISE YOU WHETHER YOU NEED TO GET YOUR VET TO START AGAIN.   SADLY THE CLUB LOST A LOT OF MONEY IN ENTRY FEES FOR HORSES THAT COULD NOT COMPETE, AND THOSE MEMBERS ALSO HAD THE EXPENDITURE OF DIESEL ETC. TO FIND THAT THEY HAD TO TURN ROUND AND GO HOME.   CHECK THE PASSPORTS PAGE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION OR EMAIL ME BY CLICKING HERE.

IT HAS BECOME INCREASING MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND HELPERS TO RUN COMPETITIONS FOR YOU.   THEREFORE, FROM 2006 WE WILL BE ADOPTING A SIMILAR PROCESS TO OTHER AFFILIATED RIDING CLUBS IN OUR AREA, WHEREBY EACH EMDG MEMBER WILL BE ASKED TO HELP AT, AT LEAST, ONE EMDG EVENT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.   THIS HELP WILL BE A CONDITION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP.   TRACEY GREEN IS COLLATING EMAIL ADDRESSES FROM MEMBERS, AND WILL BE MONITORING WHO VOLUNTEERS AND WHO ACTUALLY COMES TO HELP.   PLEASE EMAIL TRACEY WITH YOUR DETAILS.   THANK YOU.   WE WISH TO CONTINUE TO OFFER A HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY CLUB, BUT UNFORTUNATELY EVENTS WILL BE CANCELLED IF THERE IS LACK OF ASSISTANCE, PARTICULARLY IN VIEW OF HEALTH AND SAFETY MATTERS.
